Extract

The Inclusion Project is a new Oxfam initiative as part of our extensive work in the Mekong region. Our goal is to assist communities to retain sustainable livelihoods by promoting their inclusion in water resource governance and decision-making.
Oxfam has a long history supporting rural farming and fishing communities throughout the Mekong region. Our work across the region has shown that when local people are involved in decisions regarding the use of their land and resources, development benefits are more likely to be equally shared and sustainable.
